Well here we go ... not got a clue what I'm doing so bide with me ;)
It's so hot here at the moment and my brain isn't functioning properly (not that it does anyway) I was going to to a little more research into my husbands family tree this evening but this blogging thing caught my eye so I looked to see how to do it. I will try and get my head round his family later on as it wont run away and the thought of trying to decipher those pages of "strange" handwriting incidentaly some of which were written by his great grandfather ... these documents are great and full of info just that I have to look at each and every page as they haven't been transcribed. But in saying that , they are interesting and I get "lost" in reading it all ! I love the way that those couples that weren't "married" well not civilly married maybe they were in church ( this I have to yet find out) like another of Giuseppe's great grandfather when going to register his children's births told the registrar that the mother was an unknown, not married, not relative ....even after having 7 children with this women he still said he didn't know her !!!! Well I know us women are complexed creatures but surely after 7 kids he should have at least asked the lady her name LOL. He did marry her and they legitimised them all (poor things growing up not knowing who their mother was ....) then went on to have a little girl after 7 boy's whom I did meet and was the grandmother of my god-daughter.
It's interesting putting all these names together ....though it's like doing a jigsaw puzzle as they all seam to be related along the line .....thank God for "new blood" in the stock like mine at least there are some anglo/sardo's here :)
Well lets see if this posts and how it looks and if I'm working out how it works ....
